Road Safety Education Program

RAAG is regularly requested to present its road safety education program to organisations throughout the Mackay and Bowen Basin Region. Our education program focusses on specific road safety issues relevant to our region, such as wide loads, fatigue management, distracted driving and more.

The presentations are facilitated by volunteers who are trained to conduct the program. RAAG is aiming to expand this program to more organisations and community groups, helping to create a road safe culture in our community. Over the past twenty years RAAG estimates they have presented this program to up to 20,000 people in the Bowen Basin Region.

In 2022-2023, RAAG presented our road safety education program to approximately 1000 people in our community.
